John Albert Corson was born December 1, 1914. The son of a coal dealer, Corson applied to, and was accepted by, the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine in 1935. He earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1941. In 1945, he married Mary Violet Shey, with whom he had one son. He passed away in 2004.

Includes 1937 issue of EPISTAXIS, student journal of the Faculty of Medicine; 5th year Faculty of Medicine registration card; lecture notes from Carson’s fourth year in Medicine; and University of Toronto student handbooks for the academic years of 1935/36, 1936/37, 1938/39, 1939/1940, and 1940/41.
