Covers his career at the University of Toronto from mailboy through to his secretaryship of Governing Council in 1972. Discusses Hart House, role of Wardens John Burgon Bickersteth, Nicholas Ignatieff and Joseph McCulley, purchase of Caledon Farm, the Ajax Division, functions of the Board of Governors, its Committees, the transition to unicameralism and the operations of Governing Council.
