Scope and content: Oral history interview with Professor D.V. LePan conducted by Paul A. Bator. Commences with childhood visits to campus with his father, who was the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds and concludes with his resignation as Principal of University College. Focuses on the period 1920-1971, and discusses University of Toronto Schools, curricula, faculty and student activities, the Dept. of English, his principalship of University College, Sir Robert Falconer, Claude T. Bissell, Vincent W. Bladen and Canadian Literature.

His papers are in the Rare Book Library.
