Biographical Sketch: Professor of Geography

Scope and content: Oral history interview conducted by Allan Irving. Covers Tatham's choice of academic field and his arrival in Canada to teach at the University of Toronto (1939-1940) through to his departure in 1960. Discusses the establishment of the honours course in geography and its curricula, the administrative history of the Dept. of Geography, prominent personalities in the department including Griffiths Taylor, Donald Putnam and Kenneth Hare, Harold Innis and Sidney Smith and Tatham's involvement with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association during and after World War II.
