Scope and content: Oral history interview with Professor Jack Horace Parker conducted by Paul A. Bator. Covers arrival at the University of Toronto in 1931 through 1973 and his tenure as Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies. Focusses on his career as a graduate student and professor, the administrative history of the Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese, its faculty, curricula and the various reorganizations which led to the separation of the Dept. of French and Italian. Discusses the School of Graduate Studies and Dean Ernest Sirluck, the Senate, Office of the President, and the University of Toronto Faculty Association.
