Professor of sociology at Erindale College from 1971-1997 and founder of the Peace and Conflict Studies Program at Erindale. Peace activist with groups including the Pugwash Group, the Helsinki Citizen's Assembly, and Science for Peace. Editor of Peace Magazine.

Scope and content: Correspondence, publications, conference and association files, manuscripts, course lectures, administrative records, notes, course papers and other materials document Metta Spencer's university education and activities as a professor of sociology, peace activist, and magazine editor.
