Covers the period from his arrival at the University of Toronto in 1941 through to his retirement in 1982. Discusses the history of the Centre for Industrial Relations, the Institute of Business Administration, the Faculty of Management Studies, curricula, faculty, the role of part-time students, buildings, particularly those occupied by or proposed for the Centre, Institute and Faculty, relations with the Dept. of Political Economy, particularly regarding the Commerce and Finance program, the School of Graduate Studies, Presidents Sidney Smith, Claude Bissell and John Evans, Harold Innis, Vincent Bladen, Eric Phillips, the Senate, Board of Governors and the administration of the University of Toronto.
