Scope and content: Oral history interview by Elizabeth Wilson with Zerada Slack, Director of Athletics and Physical Education for Women as part of the Library Oral History Project. Account of her involvement with athletics and physical education and training for women at McGill University, as a high school teacher in Hamilton, with the YWCA during World War II, and at the University of Toronto. Focusses on the period 1946-1961, the development of intercollegiate athletics for women, salaries and allowances and available facilities for women, events leading to the construction of the Benson Building, and the expansion in curricula and student activities.
