The University Archives may not be the copyright holder of images or documents in its collection. For this reason, responsibility for infringement of copyright or other rights is assumed by the user, who is fully responsible for obtaining permission for use from the copyright holder.

University of Toronto does not own copyright. Use for anything other than research and private study (ie. publication, exhibit, TV broadcast, film, video, or website) requires permission from the rights holder. Permission cannot be given by the University of Toronto Archives. The user assumes all risk of copyright infringement and it's the user's responsibility to obtain the necessary permissions from the rights holder.
