Update
In light of the restrictions on non-academic and non-course-related activities on campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UofT Archives has cancelled the upcoming open house “U of T through the Ages: An Exhibition by the U of T Archives” which was scheduled for Monday, March 16th from 4-7PM at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library. However, please stay tuned to our various social media channels over the next few days as we will be sharing some of the fascinating materials and artifacts from throughout U of T’s 193-year history that were selected from our collections in preparation for this event.
In its 193 years, the University of Toronto has grown and changed dramatically. From its founding as King’s College in 1827 to the University of Toronto we know today, explore an exhibition of archival records, including rare footage, photographs, maps, and more, which will take attendees through a history of the broad themes that have defined the University over the course of its history, with particular focus on the student experience.
This is a drop-in exhibition that is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to explore. All members of the U of T community are welcome.
Admission is free, but please RSVP.
