Do you already know what material you'd like to request?
We have a new registration and request tool: Special Collections Access!
If you are comfortable locating material in our descriptive database Discover Archives or already know the UTARMS accession/box/item locator information you would like to consult, you can save time by registering through the UTL’s Special Collections Access system. Once you’ve registered, you may make a request to access material within our collections.
A Special Collections Access account will help you:
- Request collection material in advance of your visit
- Make an appointment in our Reading Room (optional)
- Track the status of your requests
If this is your first time making a request at UTARMS, or you would like reference support, we highly recommend contacting us for reference assistance. Archives’ staff will help to ensure you are requesting material relevant to your research, the material is open (not subject to any restrictions) and ensure the material you would like to access is held on-site and is available.
The Archives' Reading Room is open 9am-4:45pm, Tuesday to Friday (closed on Mondays). See Reading Room Procedures for more information.
