New exhibit in the Reading Room!
Feminists in the Fonds highlights feminist activism at the University of Toronto from 1969 to the early 2000s. This exhibit showcases histories of second- and third-wave feminism on campus, from the origins of today’s Women and Gender Studies Institute to the various collective efforts of faculty and students to secure rights for women, and the anti-racist work of Professor Roxana Ng. However, only a portion of the many feminist activities, experiences, and perspectives connected with U of T are featured here, and the exhibit does not display the entire history of women at the University or the full spectrum of gender activism up until the present day. For more information about resources at UTARMS relating to the history of feminism, we welcome you to speak with an archivist.
