Researchers are invited to use UTARMS’ new book and document scanner for creating self-serve scans while visiting the Reading Room. This new system consists of a portable scanner and laptop, allowing researchers to easily scan materials at their workspace. Files can be saved from the laptop to personal cloud storage or a USB flash drive.
Scanner features:
- Searchable OCR (Optical Character Recognition) capabilities for typewritten materials
- Option to save in .PDF, .TIFF, or .JPG format
- Auto scan
- Manual selection
- Image cropping and rotating
